A MAGIC ISLAND - ISLE OF MULL 

Leaving for OBAN, Scotland to catch the ferry to the magic island, Isle of Mull. The Island where you can feel the atmosphere of nature, friendly people, beautiful scenery. 

THE ENTRANCE TO ISLE OF MULL WAS MAGIC 

We took the ferry from OBAN, lasting about 3 quarters of an hour in a comfortable ferry. It is just to prebook the tickets on internet for your car + passengers. The island is big so we decided to go to Tobermory on the North end of the Island, since we where short of time.

GLASGOW UNIVERSITY - ESTABLISHED 1458

What about a visit Glasgow and the West Coast of Scotland, just in time to see the snowflakes starting to bloom. We have both been students in this great city - some time ago. Now we where heading back to where we spent our fabulous student days. At the same time we decided to visit the west coast of Scotland and see one of the beautiful islands - Isle of Mull. 

Here is a travelling tip to a family trip or just a romantic rescue for a couple. We love travelling and finding smart travelling solutions on internet. 

We booked a low price ticket with Ryan Air to Edinburgh. Rented a car and drove to Glasgow. Had booked a flat to rent in the city centre, also at a fairly good price. Going back to Glasgow University - the 4th oldest university in UK, established in 1458. Stratchclyde University with its more modern history.

Glasgow offers a great opportunity for shopping. Buchanan street, down to Argyle Street. Along with a number of other places to visit. Museums - art galleries - the Charles Rennie MackIntosh school of art - his house or the MackIntosh tearoom...

LOCH LOMOND

After a few days we hit the road and set off towards to LOCH LOMOND, driving through the beautiful landscape. You have to stop at the old Stone Pub - The Inverarnan Drovers Inn. Where the Norwegian students had some unforgettable parties during our Norwegian Student Weeks... 

Nothing had changed - except for everything getting older. Though hard to discover since the pub opened its doors in 1705 for people travelling up and down the banks of Loch Lomond. A pub that has bore witness to many of the most historic events in Scottish history. The pictures speak for itself - and absolutely worth a visit.

In the old atmosphere you can feel the history, eating delicious food. You can also stay overnight and maybe you will meet some of the ghosts who is visiting.

PHOTO SHOOT ABU DHABI - BEHIND THE SCENES....

WOW - what AN amazing trip to the UAE, visiting both Abu Dhabi and Dubai. 

Travelled to meet and work with my friend, photographer Line Moen,  who is living in Abu Dhabi and working as dressage trainer for The Emirates Heritage Club.

Line is  the photographer for Hippi Grace summer 2015 collection of leather bags. She is also one of the models and we are really looking forward to show you the great pictures. Here is a little taste behind the scenes.

On our way to Al Ain, searching for the desert. We suddenly discovered the sandy hills and desert along the highway. Mia and I decided to explore and entered the first exit. Sometimes it is important to follow your intuition....

We could see the camel walking on the hills..... 

Suddenly a little man was sitting on the hills, waving his hands and when we continued   along  the road, we could see a small camel farm.  Where the sheppards where living in their tents.  It was afternoon and the light started to be quite magic. We had to hurry in order to get all the shoots we had planned.

MEET MIA TÖRNING MILLER 

Mia is living in Abu Dhabi and from Sweden. She is a friend of Line and is riding at the same club with Line.  In addition Mia is  working on her own business project. She is one of the model for the SS 2015 for Hippi Grace.

MEET CAROLINE S. TODLER 

Caroline is working for Line, training the Arabian dressage horse. She is Norwegian and so good with the horses and camels. Have a look here.

I really want to give a big tribute to Norwegian - The Norwegian Airline company, who has been awarded the best Low-Cost Carrier for the second year in a row.  The fabulous flight-deals they offer t/r Dubai.  I had the pleasure of sitting next to a Swedish couple, who was on their way to visit their daughter in Dubai. They had been driving from Sweden to Oslo, in order to fly Norwegian and enjoy The Norwegian flight tickets at such good prices !  Check out their flights if  you are looking for a place to visit and enjoy summer.

BEING RESCUED IN THE END ..

In order to have a little excitement we 'topped´ the photoshoot being rescued by these men,  when our car was stuck in the sand, in the dark, in the desert ....No cars ! Suddenly a car appeared, they called for assistance and rescued us. We had the pleasure of listening to their car-stereo playing 'The Fox' - by the Norwegian group Ylvis - in the desert and serving us Seven Up !
